Mr SRT4 - meet my friend "Mickey T"

So after my first Mustang Challenge couple weeks ago I realized a serious need for some new tires -"Mickey Thompsons" to be specific. Couple days after the race I picked them up at a local BOCA speed shop. Decided to "test" them out a couple days ago "while visiting another country".......I was at a friends place, we all have modded cars , showed them ny new MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREETS 275/40/17 on the Stang - there is this one particular young dude who has a black modded SRT4 and a loud MOUTH that matches his exhaust! I showed him my race video of MOROSO and all he did was scream, yell and argue that he would "WHIP MY MUSTANGS ASS" . Well I didn't argue with the punk - just said we can settle now without going back to the USA and driving all the way to MOROSO. "ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS". Suddenly he wasn't as loud anymore....

..... We all decided to go to meet a bunch of friends 10 minutes down the road. On the way I ended up meeting "MR STAGE 2 MUSTANG KILLER" at a light on the way.....I looked over at him nodded, he started screamin something about Mustang being slow........I decided to not go to extreme and rev up to about 3000RPM no TCS, light turned green ....BBuuuaaaawawwwwwww
GONE, I do a smooth SLAM into second - NO tire spin! --- I look at the rear view to how close MR MUSTANG KILLER is and I see he is still by the light trying to get traction ! By the time I hit 3rd I hit the "HAZARDS" to let him know I was shutting down so he doesn't think he ran me down when I would eventually allow him catch up.
He was pissed! Damn SRT4 just couldn't keep up with MUSTANG MICKEY! :award I forgot to mention that I new I was going to meet up up with this kid that night so I gutted the interior and eliminated 100lbs -

how is the handling with your new tires????

have you tried taking any turns or going around curves at faster speeds? notice any difference???

Don't be mad at the car be mad at the owners of them.The car didn't say it could beat you just the idiot driving it.I own one and i'm not mouthy about it at all.Good kill it's all about traction and SRT's are the worst car to own and plan on getting any traction.

i own one myself. traction is about as unknown to me as torque is to hondas.

i own one myself. traction is about as unknown to me as torque is to hondas.

yeah I have more torque on my lug nuts than a honda does on its drive train.

Is this directed at me?If so my car doesn't have and hasn't ever had a problem with wheel hop.
