not by much 97 had 240 at the crank.

Those cars will ring up low low low 14's all day long.

Once you get that M3 up to speed in the rpms, it gets a lot stronger.

I would bet they are lighter too

1997 m3 produces 236 lb torque. Like i said...race him from a dig and you will out torque him.

yeah, b/c a sohc gt makes stump pulling torque off idle.

It will a lot closer, out of the hole than one thinks if the M3 driver knows what hes doing.

torque off of idle if it's an automatic

What about if the GT driver knows what he's doing? Why are you favoring the M3 driver? Because you figure he has skill just because he had the money to buy the car?

You have him, I'm telling you from previous experience with my Linc LS. I would say he's got you on top end, but go from a dig and don't spin too much or it will be too close of a race. They start pulling hard after 3rd gear all the way up...

have you ever driven an auto gt with a sohc behind it, not the snappiest off the line.

Secondly ive seen a bunch of m3's of that model go 14.2 stock at almost 99 mph.

what year m3? anything 2000 and up will definately rape an auto gt of his year. I'm not trying to pick a fight or make you look bad or anything 86er..i'm just trying to reason with you.
