03 Mach 1 vs 02 Lightning

I have a 03 Mach 1 with exhaust , intake and a little suspension work, My buddy has a 02 Lightning with full bassani exhaust and a slight tune.

We got off of work at around 2 am and we live way out in the middle of nowhere, so we are cruising down the interstate at about 70 and we hit it at the same time , at first he pulls on me about a car and then i creep up on him and when i hit fourth it was all over , maybe 2 cars by then?

Then we find a nice little straight away and we go from a stop , we are nose to nose through first and second and then once i hit third it was over. 3 cars....

I have to enjoy this victory because next week he is getting a 5lb pulley , shift kit and a full tune put on, I dont think I stand much of a chance then

Nice kill. The Lightnings are pretty impressive for what they are. It is hard to push a 4500+ vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick. I have a couple of buddies witth them. At the track, I can destroy them. On the street it is a bit different although I have always managed to beat them. They are both lightly modded. With some decent bolt-ons and stickies, they can dip into the 12s .

I love lightnings. I had an '02 red lightning before I got my Mach. Very nice trucks, I love the interior and the looks just as much as the power they make. Good kill, Lightnings are mean trucks, esp. when modded the right way.
