06 v6 vs. acura rsx type s

It was a cool dark night. The time was about 11 pm on a what seemed like traffic-less road. I'm going 50 mph on a 45 mph road, when all of the sudden I see an orange acura rsx type s come by around 5-10 mph faster then i was going. He slows down a little, revs the engine enough for me to hear his intake and what sounded like either a catback or full length exhaust. It was more then just a fart can sticking out the rear bumper. He definately had a manualFor me...an axle-back aero turbine exhaust with a 93 tune on my manual transmission. I knew these type s' were decently fast, so I wanted to find out how fast they were. So sure enough, an 1/8 mile down the road was a red light. I was in the far right lane, the acura in the middle. It was a young guy, younger then me. I would say around 19. He had his girlfriend in the car. My car...just me...and a FULL take of gas. I was really focused on the light and failed to see that there were sprinklers on to my right, the road wet 75 feet in front of me. So we get on it as the light turns green and we both get on it. I got out to a half a car jump on him as I begin to hit the water on the road. I feel my rear end start to sway to the right and the left as I lose traction, so I got out of the gas. He flew by as one would expect out of this situation and proceded to flash his hazards. So I catch up to him, get him to roll down the window, and let him know what happened back at the previous light. So we catch another red light. This time I payed attention to what was on the road, it was dry. So now it was on. Light turns green...I slightly bogged the launch and we launched pretty even, he may have had a fender on me. It was all over after 1st gear getting into 2nd. He pulled a half a car, to a full car-car and a half length as I look down to the tachometer seeing my rpm's in the midlle of third gear (he kept pulling on me in 2nd gear). He beat me fair and square this time. My launch wasn't the best...but not the worst. I looked the specs up on the rsx type s. Says they have stock 210 hp. I lost to a ricer

how do you figure he was a ricer? with fullexhaust and intake they are low 14 high 13 second car. but wat sucks is that he has no torque with an extra passenger and still gave it to you from a dig. stock for stock its a drivers race so dont feel too bad he probably had some work done.

yeah...it's fun posting a win...but I manned up and posted a loss. Ehhh..my 6 wasn't made to be the fastest thing. Come tax return time, I plan on getting 3.73 gears with a t-lock. We'll see then...

Yeah...I misused the term ricer. That's because I was rather upset about the situation.

wrong. i lost to a newer rsx back when i had my 98 gt. he said all he had was intake and exhaust. all my 98 had was exhaust so far.
