we went to the F-body/ford meet down in Fullerton tonight(any LA members there?). on the way back i raced my friend jerry who has a later model z28. as far as i know he has lid, tb, intake, exhaust and now a built 9" ford rear end. i went to fourth and i dont know yet which gear he went into. he hit it then i did and he steadily walked away from me. i had the window down and that thing sounded so mean. im sure hes gonna talk a lil shit now lol. im gonna try to race him from a slow roll later on.

..so i guess you did go to the meet..fuck i didnt hear about anything..guess none of my friends went...by the way was this in the freeway?..why would you go into 4th?

..usually drop it 3rd in the freeway.. and you have a cobra right..i think you should have taken him...race him again

I would assume you have quicker times than the one in your avatar. My bolt-on NA Mach is almost a second faster that that time and that was with a crappy 1.7 short time. LS1s with just H/C/I can be well over 400 rwhp.

well first off if you between 55-85MPH you should drop to 3rd (runs out to 105MPH)

and second off you need the driver mod big time. even if your stock on stock tires with a ok driver you should be around .5 second faster, with a damn good driver maybe a litte more.

if i slow down to 50 i drop it to 2nd believe it or not..im right there at power band and i prefer to go off second..i really get a jump..but if im 60 or above than 3rd

yeah it was a freeway run. im pretty sure we were inbetween 65-75. i figured if i went into 3rd i would only have like a second and a half to wind it out so i just hit 4th. im sure we'll race again. im part of their car group now and they always go to the local car meet/races. i'll try to get him to do a slow roll with me next time.

my 13.2 converted out to a 12.8 at sea level with the tracks elevation correction formula. my local tracks elevation is 2710 ft. and yeah it was on street tires.

i used to go to LACR in palmdale but its closed down now. ill be moving out of state in may so i doubt ill be going to any more meets, unless theres racing involved. the one last night was kinda boring. really nice camaro's though. i would like to run u for fun. whats your z28 got?
