So today after I hooked my mid pipe back up, I texted Rick, the guy with the Iroc, and asked if he wanted to run em today. He said "yeah, when" and I said "well I gotta pick up my girl at school at 1 so 130 ish?" he said "yeah alright."

well i pick up the girlfriend and we get a quick bite to eat and we head out there. We were going out into the country so it was outside of police jurisdiction.

We head down the road and couldnt find a good spot we turned around. couldnt find one again so we just made do on the highway. it was a 2 way

Well he gets on the left side and Im on the right. He rolls the window down and says "on the 3rd honk, Ill honk." I was like alright and started getting ready for the 2nd honk launch.

well he played clean and launched on 3. well of course him being the one to do the honking is gonna get the jump. He got maybe a foot on me and i just dumped the clutch at 1300. my gf was in the car which is about 115lbs or so.

well by the top of 1st gear I put 1-2 car lengths on him, by the top of 2nd I put 5-7 car lengths and by the top of 3rd it was maybe around 4 BUS lengths. It was nasty. My gf tried to get a vid on my phone, but couldnt get the record button to work.

Oh well.

I stopped at 5600 rpms in 3rd gear. Maybe 95ish? I dunno I was paying attention to my tach not my speedo. Basically I saw a small blue spec in my rear view mirror and just slowed down and waited for him to catch up.

he called me and was like "Yep... I think you won." I said "yeah I think I did hahahaha" he then said jokingly "yeah it was only by a fender though man" and we just started laughing.

All in all it was fun as hell, my girlfriend loved it, and he was cool about being destroyed.

it was a wastre of gas, but this kid was swearing uip and down at school that he could beat me and that his car was fast.

There comes a point where someone needs to be put back in their place.

86 dude. they only made the iroc zs in A4s.

he has the 305 TPI LB9. I think its the LB9. I could be wrong.

i kno its the 305 and its a 4 speed auto

i didnt want to race with the gf in the car, but it was a decision I had to make. iether put her on the side of the road all alone or run the risk ya know? stupid either way, but she wanted to be inside with me

14's, he would be lucky to run 15's. at the track my friend with a 05 V6 is running low 15's, and against another friend with a 87 IROC with the 350 (and this 86 he raced was only a 305) which the guy with the IROC is a better driver, and from a roll, or dig the IROC got killed. those TPI cars just suck. LT1/LS1 camaro's ok, but the TPI's suck ass. i had one, lol.

the 305 TPI Iroc is rated at I think low 16s in the quarter.

I got a fucking BADASS launch too man. I mean i dont htink I could have gotten any better on that road

talkin about a waste of gas.. a guy called me out the other night with a 4door turbo civic or something... the turbo sounded nasty for it bein so small... lol. i was like are you serious and he said lets go from a 40 roll. i was like wtfever. lol. so we went and 40 is abot 3800 in 2nd for me... he honked and left and i chased and put about 4 on him in 2nd and about 6 more on him in 3rd and let out. ha. we got back and i was like well... i just wasted an 1/8th of a tank on that lol

i wasted my time w/ one of those at the track, he ran a low 10 in the 1/8, but i did race one w/ a 125 shot of nitrous before, still beat him though by half a car!

I was just about to sat that the TPI cars can be made to run like raped apes. That was the ONLY 305 set up that ever had a prayer on the street.

Well mine was born a 350 but now will take most supercharged rides just on motor. It's all you make of it.
