gears...by far the best bang for your buck in your case. if not gears get an o/r midpipe.

$400... do you have any quotes for how much it would cost to do gears?

You have to admit, it's pretty funny that we're all scrambling to try and find mods under $400 so that an 11 year old Mustang will beat a 1 year old Chevy sedan...

Well, honestly, if you're not willing to do gears, about all you can do is an intake (i.e. K&N FIPK) and maybe exhaust. Which will get you maybe 20-30 hp, and shot in the dark a few tenths in the quarter.

Or you can just buck up, do the gears like EVERYONE is saying, and probably get a full second.

Depends on your driving.

By that, I mean how much of your driving is 70+.

Man who chase two rabbits go home hungry. If you chase mpgs, you'll lose out at hp. If you chase hp, you're gonna burn gas to get there.

It comes down to this: if you're gonna drive a Mustang, bad gas mileage is a given... does it have to be slow, too?

Guy get off road cats and a cai, a good tune and tackle that shit. Or get a set of stickys and POUND the fucker off the line. Thats probobly your cheapest best bet.
And then take it to the bed.

The gears won't hurt your gas mileage as much as you think it would between 3.73s and 4.10s. As the saying goes, don't fear the gear.

I havent drove a car with gears yet, but I would love to do before I order mine, but if I dont whatever. Im buying my gears in about two weeks, 4.10's that is. A buddy of mine has a 03 GT with 3.73's and wishes he would've gotten 4.10's so I told him I'd buy them for him for my GT lol. I heard gears really boost your power dude and that's gonna be my first mod..
