so my spoiled as fuck gf just got a 2007 malibu ss bought for her. its auto and is rated at 240hp and 240trqe. Can she beat me??? if she can...ford blows...lol. my car is a 97 gt with window tint

i think its rated at 215hp and 295 torqe.. so what??

The window tint should give you an extra 50 torque....lol

Take her off the line you are fine. 55 more foot pounds of toque, 25 less horsepower. I think you are fine, if you are close to the same weight i would put my money on you, if you are more than like 150-200 pounds more i would say she would win. Guy get off road cats and a cai, a good tune and tackle that shit. Or get a set of stickys and POUND the fucker off the line. Thats probobly your cheapest best bet.

how can fuckin peak power be between 1800 and 5800...its gota peak out somewhere. lol...nitrous is outa the question cuz nowhere refills bottles around here. damn...

Dont gut your cats that sounds SO shitty. an Off road x pipe is cheap.. get a used cat back and an o/r h or x. Then you will have a loud car as well. I once raced a 900 cc street bike and he was right behind me and when i punched it he almost fell off his bike.

It's not peak, it's that at least 90% of peak is available between 1800 and 5800 rpm. Which means that it has a very flat torque curve.

The beauty of the Ford V8 isn't in it's stock performance, but in it's potential.
