03 Civic Si
-
Power: 119 kW , 160 HP SAE @ 6,500 rpm; 132 ft lb , 179 Nm @ 5,000 rpm

You:
-
Power: SAE and 142 kW , 190 HP @ 5,250 rpm; 220 ft lb , 298 Nm @ 2,750 rpm

I know the civic are very light. So the weight might make up the difference, should be a close race

Is she stick or auto? are you?

Civic weighs about 2750 empty.

Mustang weighs about 3200 empty.

So... assuming 180 lb drivers, the Civic is pushing 24.5 lbs per horsepower, the Mustang more like 17.5.

Assuming equal traction and driver ability, I don't see how you could loose (other than poor gearing choice by Ford).

+1. And the Torque to lbs ratio is even more in your favor.

You would definitely loose without 4.10's. look at you tube videos of civic SI's, they run high 13's low 14's stock.

no problem. its just i know theres a big difference from the last generation Si's to the brand new Si's, with bolt ons they can be pretty quick.

I have seen 3 new Si's run here in Phoenix... The fastest that I saw them run at the track was 15.1. and he had I/E, good traction and didnt miss a shift. The other 2 were running 15.3-15.4. Im sure it can be done, but I ve never seen one break into the 14's yet.

If he know how to drive he will beat you. I had a v6 auto with 4:10's I beat my buddies by like 2 cars from a roll maybe, but like 3 or so from a dig

No they aren't. A buddy of mine has a modded 08 Si (he's put about $8,000 in engine mods and weight reduction) and he is only running around 14.2. They're 192 HP, yes they don't weight very much and are quick, but they aren't a mid to high 13 second car stock.
