Don't normally post in here too much, but had to share this story that happened while I was down in Mexico.

TT Mustang Bullitt (me)
-HP Twin Turbo Kit @ 7 psi
-Entire suspension redone (tubular front, adjustable coilovers, control arms, etc..
-Full bolt-ons (short throw, UDP, exhaust, etc...)
-Stock engine, transmission, and rear-end
-And, yes, 4.10's and DR's

2006 Mustang GT Supercharged
-Saleen supercharger 8-9 psi
-Minor bolt-ons
-Minor suspension
-Stock engine, tranny, rear-end
-3.73's and street tires

EVO 8 (not sure what year)
-Upgraded turbo @ 28, yes 28 psi lol!
-Stock engine, tranny, axles
-Converted to run on E85


First race:
Me vs. Supercharged Mustang

Anything 2nd gear and below I would kill him since he couldn't get traction. Starting from about a 25 roll and put about 5-6 cars on him to 100+.

Second race:
Me vs. EVO

Raced twice with the same outcome. Started from about 25 and were basically dead even until we ran out of road. I would jump a little on him, but I wasn't shifting into 3rd as hard as I could of and he would get back beside me.


I thought for sure the EVO would walk me pushing 28 lbs but that was not the case.

28 lbs isn't actually that much of an upgrade for the Evo; stock they push about 20.

Yea the guy said it was pushin 18 lbs stock. Still 28 lbs is alot of pressure for a stock engine lol.

Yeah but an uprgraded turbo is much more efficient with the same amounts of boost.

Which would you rather have?

stock turbo 28 psi
upgraded turbo 28 psi


I bet the upgraded one makes the same numbers on much lower boost.

if you can find out what turbo it is id be able to give you a hp number for the EVO

The turbo was a G-something(#), id never heard it before.

And he said he put down about 410 awhp running low 20s psi, but hadn't got it on the dyno since he upped the boost. Those #s seem a little high to me tho, unless he was making less torque.

well theres a lot of turbos with a G in it lol...

Since there was no Evo in the USA in 2007 im going to assume you raced an 06 Evo MR. And yes stock they arent that special but an Evo reacts to mods rediculously. A full turbo back Exhaust alone is 25-30whp

You're right it probably was an '06. I know it wasn't because it had that funny looking front end. They kid told me that he had full boltons and pointed out several items he had on the car. It was like he was speaking a whole other language. I'm not real informed with the import scene. I like some of them. I almost was convinced into buying an STI after driving a friends heavily modded '04 STI they're pretty quick.

i drove an evo once(short drive, probably 1 and a half mile) and i was extremely impressed. if u ever get an opportunity to drive one, do it.

Id say he either had the GT3076 or the GT35r.

The HTA35r is a new version of the GT35r and it is seriously bad ass.
Heres a new video of 3 cars built by Buschur Racing that have the HTA35r and they all run in the 10's on PUMP GAS. All are 500+hp
