First Gear Lockout?

Stupid question but could someone tell me exactly what First gear lockout is? I have this as a option on my Nitrous Progressor and I just wanted to have a full understanding of it before I opt to use it. Thanks!!!

Here's a guess lol.

It locks you out of first gear so you don't spin like a beast, a lot of people I know use delay boxes to keep the juice from opening up during first gear.

BTW this might be in the wrong section.

Yes, it keeps your nitrous from activating in the first gear you are in so you don't spin. It's neat if you are at the track, but a pain in the ass if you are doing roll races. Most switches that I have seen (including mine) don't just lock out first gear only. So if you are doing a 40 roll in second gear and you have the lockout activated than it will not start spraying until you shift into third. My car never sees a track, so it was kind of a waste to spend the extra cash on a window switch with that option. I have my activation switch right next to me so I just leave the lockout off and activate my system manually when I shift into second.

Well I have the FJO Mini Progressor which is used with your PC and gives you both options for the first gear lockout. Thanks for your help!!!
