cobalt ss

i know this guy with a ss cobalt with some kind of fart cannon on it and its a 5 or 6 speed idk what it is but its all stock besides that...
with my mods: k&n drop in filter, flowmaster mufflers and mac off road x
could i take him in the 8th mile on the track hes a decent driver i raced him in my old v6 new edge with mild bolt ons and ran with him 1st and half way thru 3rd but then he just walked away from me there
with my mods can i beat him?

hey man. im gonna tell you what most peopel here will tell you. well two things...

-wrong section. sorry not trying to be rude just trying to keep it organized.

-youll never know untill you race him. We dont know if you can drive, we dont know if your opinion of a good driver is even good. Race him, find out, progress if you lose

well i made a new edge v6 run consistent 8.560 in the 1/8

put it in the race section under street.

was that V6 turboed? because 8.560 is what? a 13 flat maybe low 13s?

it ran depending on track and wether around low 15s to mid 14s
the v6s are auctally quick but as soon as 4th gear comes its slow as a turd.
it had very mild bolt ons
udp pullies, full exhaust, slicks and skinnies, cai, sct 93 tune, msd wires and some other misc stuff the stock gears killed me

the ss's are pretty quick. my friend has one with a CAI on it and i'll still pulled away from him.

Wrong. They're a 14 second car. Go find me as many 20,000 dollar 14 second cars as you can. Factory. Bone stock.

nah.. there is the base model(s), then the ss, then the ss supercharged (denoted by the "supercharged" emblem and the very tuner looking wing) and from my understand these cars can get pretty fast pretty easy
