Is it bad...

...if you shove it to the floor and it doesn't shift before it hits the red line? My ride is an auto shift...she was at 105, just over the red and hadn't shifted yet so I let off...

sometimes it takes a little bit.

one example from my experience. i had this lt1 trans am.. when i would try to do a top end run.... it would NOT go into 4th( automatic) it would get to like 125 and the rpms would go into the red and keep going.. i was like omg it cuts out here its revved out!! my friend told me to just hold it and see what happens.. i held it and held it and BOOM it finally shifted and i scooted on up to 155 before i knew it. of course after it hit over drive ..

but anyways MAYBE it takes it a second longer.

just noticed you have a sct tuner.. check the tuner and turn off your rev limiter. when i got mine it was set at 125. you can lower it all the way to 60mph and take it up to 125 or just flat out turn it off. ( thats on the xcal 3 anyways) or just email your tuner and ask him if your rev limiter was cut off for the tune he gave you. hope this helps

You'll hit the rev limiter before you do any damage to your motor.

I think the issue is that she has an aftermarket tune which may have raised the rev limiter to an unsafe point, if it didn't eliminate it altogether.

She

Brenspeed may have raised the rev limiter. Just give em a call or an email and ask what he raised it to. I can't imagine it being higher than 6500rpm which won't hurt anything.

Thanks for the feedback guys...I think it will be fine. For now anyway...I doubt I'll be hitting anything over 100 for a while...Course that's what I say now

I had to laugh a little today - took it in for an oil change and told the guys I thought there was something wrong with it. They acted all concerned and asked what so I said - it doesn't shift into over drive before it hit's 110....

They just laughed and rolled their eyes...lol

The mechanic says "We don't recommend you drive over the speed limit."

Uh ...huh....suuuuuuuure....
