Sorry for the thread necromancy - But just realized something.

Granted I don't know this for sure but feel pretty safe in speculating that RacerX did get locked up. Given what he was saying, the fact that his last post anywhere on the forum was May 19th, and that last post was "I have a hearing coming up..." all contribute to a bad news possible outcome.

Yo Racer, if you see this, or have e-mail alerts or whatever, pls respond.

All this talk about racing and not to do it, but no one got to the reason why. Because people die. More importantly innocent people die. And if the cops have to confiscate a car to save a life, and it passes legislature, then it's fair game. You can replace a car...you cannot...however replace a life.

And yes...fuck cops. I will take that a step further, fuck corrupt cops, and cops that don't give a damn. There are plenty, plenty of good cops. But I am extremely frustrated that the cop that filled out my accident report failed to write my correct drivers license number when he had it in his hand failed to write down the other guys insurance information. Now I have to see if I can call the rental company and get his information because guess what, the cop didn't write a phone number down! /rant

sucks for him, really it does & i do hope he gets his car back.. but with ever action there is a consiquence... not saying that i haven't done this type of stuff before or whatever, i did it in high school. so did everyone i know.. lucky for me, i never got a ticket for any of it.. my friends, who continue to street race have all spent evenings in jail, had cars impounded & even worse one of my friends killed an elderly couple when he t-boned em doing 80 in a 35 racing his truck... it didn't take much for me to put the peices of the puzzle together to just take it to the track.....

yeah i went into phili once to race and i saw an audi t-bone a civic doing 90 then slid into a poll. I bounced as soon as this happened and it was about 50ft from me. I will never go back there or any set up street race. if someone wants to run me from a light ill do it to a little over the limit. But now its a lot of track, i go almost every week to atco raceway, its about a mile down the road from me (i can hear the dirtbikes from my house). I just cant see me going to jail for killing someone because i wanted to go fast in a place that you should be doing 35. Theres the link to one of the stories, and the civic was there to race, wasnt some random.
