so i have been away from the sight for a little while and now i get to tell all of yall why... i raced. one race not even to 100, and i was surronded by cops pulled over and put behind bars. for 2 weeks. and this was just getting out on bail. i have my court apperance this friday and i can get up to six months. just so everyone knows though espiecly in texas DONT RACE YOU WILL GO TO JAIL. oh oh and if your in houston and you see a black gt with cobra R's on it. dont race it my car got impounded and the police are going to use as a uncercover vehicle. i really am not good at giving moral speeches so im not going to try. but jsut watch your selves out there and be careful i dont want any of yall to have to go through what i am.

that is way too much punishment in my opinion and it pisses me off. i'd like to know what the fuck makes them think they have the right to take your car. u didnt attempt to hurt/kill anyone. yeah u put yourself and other people on the road at risk but you still dont deserve to have your car taken away.

its not for sure they will use it but my lawyer was like yeah kiss your car good by they have been looking to confinscate a vehicle for undercover for like a month now and mine is the best they have come uppn.. i think its the main reason im getting hit so hard. they want my car. i dont care about the car to much though i care about losing my job and not getting into college and havein a crimanl rrecord

Fight the crap tooth and nail and if your lawyer talks like you don't have a leg to stand on, get a new lawyer that is confident he can beat down the charges and get your car back.

That's my advice so take it FWIW and good luck.

And this is the reason I keep that avatar of mine up there. Take it to the strip where for $15-20 its legal and you get a fair run with a timeslip.

What do you think the general public would be more concerned with? A street race or a car jacking?....That's basically all they did. They saw a car they wanted and they did what they had to to make it theres without paying. That's stealing in my book, I don't care what kind of bull shit red tape they try to wrap it around.

ok i am in houston also and i am not trying to be an ass but there must be more than your telling to the story. If you just spin your tires they are not going to take your car and put you in jail for two weeks. That does suck I hope you get everything worked out.

What happens if you have a loan for the car? I know its easy to play monday morning quarterback but after i saw the story about the cops in north carolina confinscating cars I decided if they were ever going to get mine I would drive it into a pole before I stopped and let them hash it out with my insurance company. I will be damned if I make payments on a car for the police to trap other racers.
