u may get different anwsers but the easiest for me cause i have auto to is u take your left foot and hold it on the break light/medium pressure and give it some gas at the same time but not enough to spin the tires. then when u want launch just release and control how much gas u put down. u don't want to make the mistake i did the first time i did it and have it 3/4 throttle and lost all traction... all i can say is just find a safe area w/ no cops and practice.

but whatever u do don't rev up in nuetral and drop it into drive or 1st its really bad on the tranny.

but now that you have a Z28 you just slightly tap the gas so you dont blow out your ten bolt right

it will all depend on the road conditions and your tires of choice. get some dr's and you won't have nearly as much problems.

for launching in a manual with an open differential i have found it best to launch at 1500 rpms, i get a tiny slip from the tires and no bogging...

I rev it to about 4000 in neutral than put it in drive and mash down on the throttle. You might break the trannsmission while doing this so a built full billet tranny, with a good converter, and line lock are disreable items.

... what your looking for is no bogging... you should know this.

slipping doesn't get you to the end of the track fast, bogging doesn't either.

another thing, street is different then track, you will grip more or less depending on the situation... practice on the street a little... if your chirping w/o bogging then you should be good... and don't forget to feather if you spin in second

This is easy, put your left foot on the brake like mentioned before and give it gas until the ass end of the car starts to raise a little then hold your right foot in the same position until you get moving good then lay it all the way down. I do the same in my car but using the clutch and not the brake. I rev to 3,500rpms then come off the already half disengaged clutch and hold my right foot in the same spot until I get back up too about 3,800rpm then floor it, But I still spin a little. It is better to spin while moving then spin sittin still though..

lots of good advice.

in mine i always held the brake about half down, gave it gas and it kinda loads the suspension.. prolly get to about 1500-2000 rpm i think it would spin after that depending on how hard ur braking and tires and road condition but.. u kinda let off the brake fast and if u have good tires stomp the gas. if u have traction issues you would probably want to ease into the gas. the main idea is to get the suspension loaded though so when you go to race your already ready to take off
