Drag Racing Gear Formulas(tire height x rpm's) / (gear ratio x 335) Formula to tell if you have the right ratio: ET x MPH= 1335, if higher than 1335 you need more gear, if lower you need less.

I got 1370 with that formula, so I need 4.30s or 4.56's as well. For the street and since my car is also a DD, I am fine with my numbers.

this chart doesn't take into effect many variables such as street operation. It is intended for determining an optimum gear ratio for racing only.

Gear ratio
I came up with 1412, I have a 3.73 gear and run a 28" tire. but the thing is Iam running a 460. I shift at 6500-6800. Think I need a 4.10 or 4.30 ?
