Coil overs

Hello everyone,

I want to get some coil overs for my stang 99 gt and I wanted to know if I get coil overs do I still need to keep the other spring that is located between the lower control arm and the frame. I think I do but I want to make sure.

When you go with coilovers you will not use the springs located on the a frame. The struts will be relocated to the correct position, the factory locations were done to keep cost low and make it simple. http://www.griggsracing.com/ and http://www.maximummotorsports.com/
makes some really great pieces. It depends on what you intend to do with the car drag or road race/street applications. Griggs has some helpful information on their site that explains suspension modifications. I have not researched UPR, Racecraft, or Wolfe's because their items are more for drag racing than the road race applications that I want to do. Good luck!!
