I Want To Lower My Car


hey guys what is the best way to lower my car another inch without having to mess with alignment and warranty. i have a 2003 gt convt automatic and i want to give a more of an agressive look. is an inch enough to achieve that and should i consider diff tires while in the process?

eibach has some great stuff. go to www.eibach.com and they have a deal where you can see the difference each pring will mae to the mustang. anyways im thinking sportlines would prolly be what your looking for. good luck and post pics after its done nd maybe a how to article when yo do it?

I love my Steeda Comps

Sportlines are a dramatic drop though...

But no matter what you should have your car aligned and go with a set of camber plates IMHO...

keep in mind anything lower than 1.5 is gonna require caster camber plates in order to acheive a proper alignment, ideally if you suspect worn oem shocks and struts you should also replace them with aftermarkets or choose a matched kit, then get an alignment

Yeah sportlines give around 2 inch drop all around...On the 05+ it is pretty much impossible to get the car back in perfect specs...

Even with camber bolts and ginding the nipple off the shock we were still out a bit...Nothing bad but still when I do something I want it perfect...

IMHO if you lower the car in any way you need an alignment...

I just joined and everywere I go I see the bouncing tits...I like em but it makes reading the actual posts really tuff........That and the BF'ing Honda logo......

I have the saleen springs on my 99 and it is about a 1.5 inch drop and looks great. I had to get caster/camber plates for mine but my buddy went with the eibach sportline which is the two inch drop and he didn't have to get caster/camber plates so it depends on your car whether you need the plates or not but you will definitely need to get an alignment unless you like to buy tires all the time!

how abt ford c springs? They drop abt 1.25" dont they? Anyone have any points on those?

If you only want an inch, go with the steeda comps. Great springs and if you decide later on that you want to do more suspension upgrades you can easily buy their other suspension pieces and bulid a total package. I wish I would have purchased them instead of the bullitt springs.

I dont have experience with suspension although I'm using Steeda shocks & Tokico struts.. now I'm looking into caster/camber plates & bumpsteer balljoint kits..

But first I think i'll try adjustable camber bolts (like SPC, Ingalls, Intrax, Ford Racing, Competition Engineering) with some Energy Suspension or Prothane rack & pinion offset polyurethane bushes first..

any experiences?
