drag strip tires
does anyone know how much tire i can fit on a 17 in factory bullit wheel? i need the 17s cause of a brake upgrade. so i need what ever i can get on this rim. thanks

i had a chance to run both of thsoe tires back to back on my old cobra, and it was night and days difference. nearly a 1/10 in the 60'

IF you run those tires and really launch on them you better have a built rear-end. Launching on a radial is alot more detrimental to parts than a slick.

No joke. I launched on a set of those with my supercoupe and it sheared off the output shaft of the aod, heh.

2000-2500 but you might bog a little from there. is your rearend built at all?

it'll prolly bog. there really isn't a safe launch rpm. with drag radials you also have to worry about the 1-2 shift.

well i dont know man its gonna bog down that low but i think without a built rearend your really pressing your luck if you go higher than 3 with it but good luck.

For those suggesting or running the e.t's...run them on the street alot? or are you switching at the track? Curious to know about street effects on the et's.
