Control Arms
What is a good brand of upper and lower control arms? Should I get adjustable or just regular? What are the benefits of each?

I went with a set of tubular upper and lowers from jegs...I did not get the adjustable kind becuase I really did not know how to set them up...Mine work fine thought and I highly recommend them...

What control arms to use depends on how much power you are making, how fast you are going and how serious about going fast you are. There is alot of ET to be gained in suspension tuning. If you don't race very often just go with some basic tubular control arms like Chris mentioned. If you go to the track often and are making some good horsepower I'd look into Team Z Motorsports or Wolfe Racecraft.

I went with these control arms becuase I got a steal on them as well...$80 brand new sitting in the box for uppers and lowers...When I get back from the desert I will have a nicer set put on...But for the money I definately noticed a nice difference in traction...Definately a great mod...Takes about 2 hours to put on...

Well I occasionaly go to the track and but I plan on adding some upgrades to where I get about 350 or so to the wheels. Also, has anyone ever installed these. I am getting upper and lower rear control arms. Is it hard or is it better to take it somewhere?

They are a piece of cake to install.

I love mine...With a lift they are cake...With a floor jack prolly not so much...Just set a afternoon to the side and that should plenty of enough...The lower control arms are the hardest...I did one side at a time...

What do you guys think of the UPR pro street package? Yeah this shop quoted me about 500.00 to install them so I said screw that. I guess I will spend a day under my car. But I was looking at those pro street chrome maloy set of upper and lower or should I go with another brand? What about granatelli?

Ok on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the hardest what would you rate the install of both upper and lower without using a lift just a jack and stands? Also, do you need to get any type of alignment afterwards?

2 with handtools. no alignment as long as you dont run adjustables.

I would rate it about a 4-5 just becuase the upper bolts on the lower control arms a b*tch...IMHO drop the exhaust from the mid pipe and it makes it alot easier...
But with a lift it is about a 3 IMHO after we dropped the exhaust it was at least... I cant say enough about them though...They should ahve been one of my first mods... |

I went with Steedas only because I got a smokin deal on them. Bought them from a couple of buddies. Uppers were brand new in box, lowers had less than 1000 miles on them - all for $175. Adjustable lowers are nice if you decide to put different tires on the track and need some extra clearance.
