well i eventually wanna lower it within like the next 6-8 months but however i can like push down on the front end of my car and make it bounce a whole lot so i dont know if they are on their way out or if they just are really spongy possibly? anyway im loong at the KYB stuff on this page Car Part Wholesale - Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - 1996 Ford Mustang Strut Assembly and was just wondering if this would do the trick or not and if they are any good? also should i just try and hold off until i lower it or what?

also it shows springs at the top end of the shock/strut. is that correct for a mustang or is that just like a display for an import? because the stock shock/strut doesnt have a spring on the top. the only spring is the coil spring correct?

it's more than likely a stock picture, since tokico makes those for many different cars

they should, thats why you can get springs to lower your car is because they sit one top

your looking at coil overs

this is around the lines of what you want for shocks/struts.
Mustang Shocks and Struts at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

you could do coil overs on your car but it's rather expensive and the ride quality is not the best in the world for a street car.

it would actually be cheaper if i wanted to lower it to get the coil overs rather than getting the strut/shocks from american muscle then springs also.

no not if you got a good coil over kit, that will run you about a grand or maby more. also coil overs give a much stifer ride not somthing you will want if it is just your dd

True... quality coilovers aren't cheap, and I don't advise just throwing together a crappy coilover setup. You're just asking for trouble.

Not necessarily. You could easily match the stock spring rate with a really soft spring and the ride would likely be BETTER than stock. In fact, my coilovers have nearly triple the stock wheel rate and the ride is very liveable compared to stock. This is possible because coilovers correct the poor stock spring geometry and significantly lower the total weight of the spring/damper setup.
