Suspension kits???

Has anyone used one of the suspension kits on the market and what do you think of the kit. There are several kits on the market, FRPP stage3, Roush, etc. I am looking for a good road handling package but still streetable. FRPP also lowers 1.5 inches so I am leaning their way. What do you think?

my good friend put the ford racing suspension kit on his 06 GT, and it was nice. the sway bars and upper strut bar stiffened it up a bit, and the springs and dampers did also while dropping it down on his 18 inch shelby razors. so i looked good. however, the pain in the ass was the dampers were non-adjustable, which is apparently bad. so they had to grind out holes or something like that for them to fit. also after the drop, the axle sat off to one side, so he had to get an adjustable pan-hard bar to straighten it out. i would just look into adjustable shocks, but i only know what i heard, i'm not that knowlegeable on suspension til i get around to my own

Lot of money 4k, but it appears to be something a guy could bolt up himself given a lift and the basic tools. I wonder about compatibility issues with stuff like Performance Transmission's auto tranny, ceramic shorty headers x-pipes w/cat back (or fwd). The top end Eibach may be all that's really required for the street. Still, that Max Grip Box is sweet - marry that to four wheel Bear 14" calipers/rotors and I'm quite sure the handling would be awesome.

how much do you want to spend? I just got the Steeda Gtrac Kit (stages 1,2,and 3) car handles infinately better!!! the only problem i got is with the strut tower brace, tried installing it the other day, and it would meet all the way up with the firewall, about a 1/2 inch off....the car handles really well though!! i got the tokico illuminas set to 5 (stiffest setting) they rock. steeda springs give the car a good stance too...

+1 on Gtrac

4K is a bit much for me. I looked at the Eibach and it looks very good. No panhard no k member and no tower brace but otherwise very nice. And it lowers the car a bit. I am just looking for something that will give me great handling and maintain street drivability.

G trac 1,2, and 3 was about $1600 and it does exactly that. Highly recomend.

I went to the Steeda site and added up the G-trac stage 1, 2, and 3. Together they cost $2839.85. Were you looking somewhere else??

just installed the eibach pro kit springs, tokico d-spec shocks/struts, bmr LCA's, bmr adjustable panhard bar, and bmr panhard bar support.

it's only been one day and it's raining so no major corners yet. everything i put on cost me 1200. i still need an upper control arm and all the rest of the body stiffening parts, but so far i am absolutely happy. i did everything myself with a hydrolic jack and jack stands. it took about 4 hours and it was done in the garage. when you do it just make sure you take the entire front strut and spring assembly out as a unit.
