84 mustang gt turbo help new guy

Hey guys and gals. first wanna say im new to the forum and to the stang seen.

I picked up a 84 mustang GT with very low miles its black in color. it sat in a barn for about 5 years and then the kid i got it from bought it. he said he didnt get to drive it a week and then the clutch is claimed to went out of it. it wasnt a big deal cause i was in the middle of a 2.3 turbo swap for a ranger i have but didnt finish cause i didnt h ave the obd port for the SCT tuner. and i have a motor ready to run on a stand and a almost new SPEC stage 4 clutch for the 2.3 so im just gonna put that in. my question is how hard is it to do my self? just drop the drive shaft and the trans and then put it in or what?

the other question is what is the best way to fix a head liner that is kinda fallin down? i also need the trim pieces that go around the door handles they normally are black plastic? also need bumpers both front and rear.

i have more things to fix but there are some of the main things.

thanks!

Mornin

as for dropping it in yourself, we need to know, what air meter you have (MAF/VAM) ingition (DISTRIBUTOR/DIS) is the ready engine a originial turbo or not

but as for an engine swap, its not hard just be careful:
Carefully Unplug Sensors, undo fuel lines, remove ignition wires
remove turbo n exhaust remove intake
unbolt engine from trans
****now im not sure if you have to remove trans, ever time i did a engine swap, the trans was already out*****
drain water/coolant and remove hoses
you might as well remove the radiator for more room,
remove belt/accesories (alt/power steering)
unbolt engine mounts
yank that bastard OUT
**I recomend saving all bolt in seperate labeled containers

but i would read this also...2.3 swap Overview
