Best mod?

Boost controller and K&N filter, turn the boost up to 20psi

they dont have BOV's stock

while we're on topic, how much boost does a stock '87 t-bird turbo coupe run? where can i get a boost controller and how much are they? is that the only way you can turn up the boost? is it safe to turn up the boost with no supporting mods at all?

depends on auto/manual

i think the autos run 9 and the manuals run 14-15

i dunno where you can get a boost controller but its the only way to turn it up

and its safe to go to like 20 like turbo said.. the stock T3 will only get so far

cool.. its a 5 speed.. about how much power difference would i see by bumping it up to 20, do you think?

Auto TC's run 9psi and the 5 speed are 13psi

depending on mileage, you can run up to 20psi no problem

and her T bird has an IHI not T3

You can get a boost controller from just about anywhere from around $50+

but it is also better to upgrade the IC and get a BOV

you could easily pull 240hp at 20psi in a 5 speed

yeah, i want to up the boost in the t-bird, but i dont want to do anything too hard/expensive/permanent.. i just want to give it a little bit of extra kick

and yeah, the t-bird will never be anything but a weekend warrior.. how many 1987 year model cars have you seen with only 14k original miles and everything factoty stock down to the battery, tires, etc.? lol
