1984 SVO No Taillights, Gauge lights, Parking lights

Hello everyone, the other day when I went out driving at night I realized my gauge lights weren't turning on when I had my headlights turned on. Of course I right away turned the dimmer switch to brighten them up but got nothing.

Also I realized that my parking lights didn't turn on either. The turn signals turned on just fine. As well as the taillights wont turn on when the headlights are on. Only when I apply the brake will the taillights come on.

I checked the fuse box and tested the dash illumination lights fuse with my test light. My test light didn't turn on while testing both sides of the fuse. So now I have to find what wire powers that fuse? Any ideas on what the problem may be?

you may have a bad H/L switch they ussually go bad and it usually happens to the cars
with foglights quicker.

Thanks for the help! I too came to the same conclusion a little while ago. I printed out some of its schemtatics and it seems like the headlight switch is the problem as you say. I've also heard around from people, that they do go bad.
