Independent rearend for a solid rearend


the name explains it all, im trying to find somebody willing to trade a solid rear axle out of a 1999+ mustang GT for my 1999 cobra Independent Rear. The reat has 66,000 miles on it and has not had any problems. It also has Eibach pro-kit springs.

Nope, stock gears, eibach springs, i have bassani stainless catbacks but they're gonna cost you

i was actually planning on it for a fox. what if i found you an 8.8 with arms. will that work??

what all do you need out of the swap?? axle, arms, quad shock mounts. ill need the irs and e-brake cable. you can keep the rear calipers and the gt and cobra are the same. they just use different brackets. you will need the brackets off a mach for the rear to work i believe.

I have thought many times about getting a IRS and kinda still want to also. Another plus is that Im running the same springs too. Though my exhaust is still all stock. I have always liked the IRS for handleing reasons, never have been into dragging. But to each their own!
