good... that's what I was checking...

we get too many people here that talk about building their motors, or getting a turbo setup or something else big, and expect to be able to do it themselves, when 90% of the time they're just kids right out of HS dreaming big and think installing stuff like that is as simple as a bolt on...

I'm like you, I know how things work, but have trouble remembering the names of things...

so I retract my asshole statement

i would say about 220's ish... that is assuming you put in an aftermarket cam and also do some head work to support the cam.

if you retain the stock cam then don't get your hopes up.

if you want to get some more power behind that v6 of yours, get p&p heads, p&p upper and lower intakes with some rr's, new valve springs, studs and a cam and possible some forged internals .........im only at about 165 rwhp and with all that ill be at around 220rwhp and even more when i get udp and a full exhaust.....so you could see about 220-240rwhp with your mods

a well built 4.2L with sotck compression or less with C/H/I/exhaust should put down no less than 240rwhp. if you did you either set yourself up for boost with compression and cam, etc. or you did something wrong.

you should around be able to gain 1hp per cubic inch. a 4.2L is a 255-260 cubic inch.

your rear wheels aren't at 190 horse power,

with a stroker kit, it might be.

man i dont recommend you doing this urself unless u have another car that ur prepared to drive if u mess up the mustang....putting together and engine takes a little more than some wrenching. theres a lot of little shit that you can easily mess up. just leave it to the shop. maybe they will let you watch what they are doing some so u can learn about it.

you can do a .030 boar on the 4.2 and punch it out to a 4.3, you can find a 4.2 for ~$300 with low miles out of a 97+ f150.

super six motorsports or delk can help with extra goodies

RPMustangs is going to get my vote out of the best known V6 mustang engine workers, SSMs is just expensive, same with delk.

they call it a 4.3L but in reality it is still a 4.2L. we had this discusiion on v6power. it comes out to like 4.27 or something like that.

just some useful info.
