2002 How to remove window control switch housing?

Does anyone have a picture (or simple explanation) of the lower clip on a 2002 drivers side window control switch housing (the plastic trim panel covering the window and door lock controls)?

I need to remove it to check the power lock switch (drivers side unlock switch doesn't work).

I can pop the top clip out but I'm cracking the plastic as I try to get the bottom one off because I don't know how to release it.

thanks for your help

Thanks. Fairfax, VA
The piece is cracking on top instead of popping off.

Whats the temp there? The plastic gets pretty brittle when it gets cold. Your best bet would be to do it in a heated garage.

the top needs a screw drive pried in and then you just push down on it, the bottom just pulls up. now be careful putting it back in and don't force it too hard, i snapped part of the clip that holds it in.
