Question: I plan on getting a tuner sometime in the future but I might want to remove the EGR before that. Is a CEL light the only problem I will have or are there other issues that it causes?

Did any of you see a MPG drop when removing it? Also, I heard that the EGR was necessary to keep engine temps down when cruising for long periods of time. Anyone having trouble with high temps?
u can, but most people just unscrew it from the pipe and screw on a cap...

Does the cap come with the delete kits?

Also, it looks as it from where the egr is located it would only circulate the gases 2 the nearest 2 cyliders.

I believe blow by gases flow from the valve covers to the intake air tube through the breather tube. There is also some oil that goes through that hose into the intake in spite of the baffles in the valve covers.

The PCV side should be the one venting the gases though. Isn't the breather only there to let fresh air into the crankcase?

Could be right. The left valve cover has the PCV valve and is connected to the intake manifold. The right valve cover connects to the intake. So maybe air is flowing from the intake into the crankcase through that tube.

Thats how I always under stood it to work anyways. Otherwise if you are just venting positve pressure you would really only need the PCV valve. I think the valve/breather combination circulates some clean air through there.
