Ghetto-rigged improvements

I was looking through some past forums and saw ideas like making a ram air system through using a couple CAI's. Does anyone have other things like that they've done. I just had a serious budget cut cuz some idiot rear-ended me in a damn charger.

my cheap idea for improvement is maybe remove the air silencer, but that is it. you will always get what you pay for...

What would removing the air silencer do? It wouldn't even be a noticeable difference would it. The guy that hit me had insurance but it wasn't full coverage cuz he paid in cash.

the insurance company should have written a check after getting 3 estimates and avg. them.

and nope, no noticeable gains for the most part...

Painting your interior parts to match the exterior is a pretty cheap and noticeable mod....

It's all in preparation though!! The mored time you spend wet-sanding, using rubbing alcohola nd maybe spray on adhesion promoter the better it will turn out and the longer it will last...also CLEAR COAT really makes it look GREAT!

As far as performance, not many cheap mods out there...maybe weight reduction would help you a bit while you save for $$$ mods....

There are some ghetto like mods out there using leaf blowers as turbos BUT I wouldn't chance it with fu&^%ing up my ride just to get 1 HP from a leaf blower...

ram air

yea my freind asked me to help him ****** rig an intake he went to autozone and bought a high flow air filter and then we went up to my house and got 4" dryer ventalation pipe(its a diseal ford not a stang) and took the intake box off past the filter box clamped it onto the hose then clamped the filter onto the other end of the pipe it did work the turbo was louder and was more ballsey in 4th and 5th, then again its a dieseal with a turbo they benfit alot more from more air intake so you can rig one i would just buy one thu but if you dont have the money then autozone sells a 25 dollar "high performance power adder" air filter that my freind used so just do that mail me if you need me to go into more detail for you RIP Joe 6/5/06

lol well what did you do just get springs?

mine are 17inch as well 17x9 all around
also really thin tires when they hit a rock or speed bump you'll feel it more compared to something thicker

I've seen it, but DO NOT try it, it will destroy your engine for reasons i hopefully dont have to explain to the more mechanically inclinde people.
