how much longer and for whatpurpose? it has slack from factory, but not much. you could always buy a longer cable and pop it in place. any cable of that sort will work, but i am sure ford makes them in diff. lengths for diff. cars...

i just need like quarter of an inch if that i mean i can fit it on there but then it holds back the throttle body and then it idles at 3000 rpms

is it the right length? it should not be adjustable, but it does have some slack... when did this begin to occur?

what speeds are you setting it at? Does this happen at all speeds? The car doesn't shift when you set it? Seems to me under normal driving conditions that it would shift into a higher gear to save gas.
