It really isn't needed, just for those extremely power hungry guy who wants like 1 extra hp and 1 more foot pound of torque. From underdrive pulleys you get most of the power from your crankshaft pulley. Also for anyone who has a 2000 sixer you gotta be careful buying pulleys. They changed the design of the pulleys somewhere in 2000.

I have a 25% underdrive pulley, and a 10% alternator pulley for a 94-98 v6. Im selling them for $60 + shipping. I have an 02 mustang and the guy I got them from said they would fit and like a dumbass I didn't check first.

I would go with VMP. I have heard plenty of horror stories from redline, and also plenty of stories about how their customer service sucks.
