yea if you ran 14.7 you know that if you took out everything at best you'd get 14.5 so weight wont be a huge issue
i'd be happy with 14.7 @ 92 with that power the car has

at only 220 hp u think you will even see much of a difference in time from ...275s u have in the rear correct? i would bet lighter rims and scrifcie grip would get you better times. would be interesting to try them both

ok i get what your saying, but im curious since he only has like 220 hp and probably less TQ down low being a 6, i would be curious to see if stock rims and tires would get him a better time verse those huge heavy ones even tho they have more grip. the grips good only if you can exploit it

wheels aren't heavy though. They are pretty lightweight. I don't see why people act like wheels are so heavy, yea they may slow you down a little bit, but not that much. He has 17x9 all around. We may not have as much as torque as an 8 but we have a nice bit of torque. Enough to throw you back in the seat a couple times.

i have 17x9 front which is a lot of parasitic drag on the road and considerably slows me down. i was considering a 15x5" wheel up front, but i drive the car Everyday.

i have 17x10.5 rear which is the same rotating mass as stock and they are the driven tires to size is only for traction. at 315mm, i have 12.4015748 inches of tire size. not all of this will touch he road at 40psi, but at 15psi, it should hook much better and cut my 2.23-5 60' down to a 2.1x and give me the edge on my mid 14 e/t. it is rediculous to run a 2.2x 60'

also, power down low is not used at the track. by 30' i am in the upper rpms. i redline at 6k rpms and when i shift, it drops to 4500 (which is a healthy ways into the powerband). i have the car setup compromiseably for street/strip use, but also remember this is an everyday driver with over 104k miles on it.

AB, like I was telling you before, get some 44K engine cleaner for your engine. I actually felt a difference after was done with it on all of the high milage cars ive done it to. They're only $10 a piece and i'd bet your car'd only need one, it would knock all of the carbon out of your engine and then the only thing you'd have to worry about it from being high miles is compression loss. Cheap hp man.

But what ever...

When did you get the 10.5's? I remember when you said you had 17x9 all around.
