Synthetic Gear Lube 5-Speed
I just rolled 30k on my 2003 V6 5-speed. I have heard that I will get longer life out of my trany if I use synthetic gear lube in my 5-speed. Do any of you recommend a specific brand or weight?
Thanks,

I dot think you need to worry about that. Trannys last a long time, just change the oil regularly.

your 5 speed does not use gear oil it uses atf.if you want to use an oil that will protect your trans from wear you could use royal purple Syncromax which may free up a horsepower or two also.I think the T-5 takes like 2.5quarts to fill.
