hood scoop


im new with mustangs and i was wondering does the 99-04 gt hood scoop fit on a v6 hood? if o how does it connect ? by glue or bolt on? oh and the hood is a 1999 mustang v6 hood

I got mine off ebay for $75. It has 4 bolts that will attach to your hood.

USA AND* CANADA

That site has oem, and replica.. they are kinda pricey for me. Your best bet is to look around on ebay

I'll try and get some pics of mine up if you want.

I saw on another site that if you pull down the underhood heat blanket you will see the indentations where to drill the holes to match up with the studs that stick off the scoop. supposedly its that easy. I would just go to a junk yard and pull the blanket down and see if it is that easy.

Not all year hoods have the indention's 99's don't.
This may help Mustangworld - Install a hood scoop and side scoops

It has to be a certain hood like mentioned above. Some wont fit. My V-6(2004) has the hood and the scoop. It has 8 small bolts holding it on and is lined with a "cusion" like material to seal it.
