Trac lok

This even sounds like a stupid question to me...lol But, I've read so much my brain is fading.

What size t-lok for 2002 v6 auto?

Shop gave me an estimate of less than $300 to install 4:10's and t-lok so I'm looking around. Could get a bit cheaper labor, but this shop is KNOWN for their excellent work and has a stang mod guy on board.

Thanks

what a tuner does is reflash your cars computer for a more aggressive tune to create more power that your already has. It plugs into your obd II reader port which is by your pedals under you dash.

I will not have a tuner for quite a while...what exactly happens to the speedo with the gear change?
(May be longer than I think since my truck went into the shop today...clutchless...lol...among many other problems).

your speedo will be entirely off. Your car will think it still has the stock gears when you won't be. So it's gonna act as if it has the stock gears in it.

So, if my speedo says 55 on the highway...am I faster or slower than that in reality with 4:10 gears?

... wouldn't it be slower cuz your getting a larger number gear ratio... thats why it runs at higher rpm...

an easy way to gehtto tune this is drive along side a buddy and have him yell to you speeds... like 45mph and what your speedo says and right it down... and put it on your dash... kinda cheap but it works...
