What's the biggest size rims that will fit on a 2004 V6
I have a burgundy 2004 V6 mustang..........my first stang and am looking to put some rims on it as well as upgrade the sound system. As soon as I figure out how to get the radio out from behind the plastic I'll be in business
. In the mean time does anybody have any pics of stangs sittin on chrome or bullet metal or any type of rims as far as I'm concerned. I was thinking about 20' bulletts but don't know. Any suggestions and would I have to make any changes to the suspension?. Thanks for the help.

20s will fit the wheel well, but you won't be able to lower the car at all. To get the radio out you need some radio keys that fit in the holes on each side of the radio.

yeah just look in my profile bro i think i have the same stuff as you and probably what you want lol. anyways i think 19" and a small lower like 1 " is what you could do but you'll be rubbing in the wheel wells usually 17's or 18's are best
for width of rim 10.5" in the back for some nice fat tires and i geuss 8-9" up front. |

I like those bullets, what size were they?. I've also tried to find a hood that has the scoop in the middle with no luck. I'm working with limited funds and want to upgrade the exhaust also. Is the K&N the best air intake along with flowmaster pipes. Don't know what the o/r or x or H mean that everyones talking about.
As far as the stereo is concerned I can't even get the plastic panel to come off. My allen keys won't fit the screws. I'm gonna post some pics as soon as the weather clears up and I get to wash her. Oh, lastly....the pedals are real heavy when accelerating?, I'm thinking it's because I may need an oil change but it's ridiculous, any way to make it lighter to the touch?. Pretty dumb question but I had to ask. |

for the intake if you mean a full CAI 20 dollar one off ebay. For the head unit take a socket wrench to it it is easier and will help you a lot. To get it out the key helps a lot but once you get the plastic off just push in the white clips on either side and it slides right out.

I was told I have to remove the plastic around the automatic gear shifter (you know...the thing with P, R, N, D, 2, 3) then I can snap out the rest of the console holding the radio in place. There's about 8 or 9 little black screws holding it in place and I don't have the tool (key) I guess that's what I need.
The exhaust terminology sounds a little more advanced than I thought. At the risk of sounding like a total dumbazz I have to ask this.......the o/r pipe which stands for off road as I'm told, does that mean it's not street legal?. And now I find out I need cams? to make it have that choppy choked up sound....what are cams and are they going to totally break my wallet. |

no you don't have to remove the thing around the shifter just use a socket wrench to get out the 2 screws and pop it out . The key is only to remove the stock head unit. For the exhaust o/r means it will not work with cat (catalytic converters) so if you have emissions yes it is illegal. The cam don't worry about it unless you have big power and need it. You will not have that long lop but it will should pretty good I'll be posting an exhaust clip later tonight so look out for it if you wanna know how true duals with a crossover pipe (375 dollar setup) sounds.

These are my 18x9 rims on my 2003.. So you can get an idea of what they look like. I need to lower my car though
so it doesn't look as good as it should

Really? Maybe I'm just confused by the paperwork but it says 18x9 size wheels... Could be wrong though, maybe they're smaller.. They do look bigger in person though.. since your car is lowered gives it a little different appearance, but once again I could be wrong
