Fog light question

So i just purchased this fog light set from Autozone. To be exact, PILOT automive fog lights. The rectangle blue ones. Now, my thing is I was going to buy a fog light switch from rockautos but it says its under a 97 mustang. Will that switch still work on my 02? And could I use the harness and wiring kit that came with the fog lights set I bought and just buy some original 99-04 fog lights? And how hard is the setup? And what is the purpose of the relay versus the switch?

forget the switch and just rig them to ur headlights...iv done this on many vehicles (switch, remotes, and headlights) and the headlights are the eziest install choice...plus its a one switch for all then...
