Help

all right boys need some help.

I start the car and the RPM's bounce and the whole car shakes. so I looked under the hood poked around and I couldnt find anything.

So I thought maybe it was my spark plugs, so got some new sparks plugs (couldnt get 1 of them in becuase my exhaust manifold on the right side was just replaced not that long ago. Well when they replaced the manifold they have it to were I cant get my socket on the spark plug, Im taking the car back to them to fix that)

so anyways...replaced the 5 other spark plugs, got in the car and went to get gas...ran fine. came home and had to go back to town, turned the car on and it rattled and did the same exact same thing!

so any ideas as to what it could be??

Try adding a couple bottles of heat to the gas tank. Probably water in the gas.

i'm having a similar issue..

well on saturdays only mainly lol.... its pretty much when I drive, get out... go into a store or something.. go back to the car... get out at another store, leave.... so like the 3rd or 4th time in a short while... at that point when i try to turn my car on, it shakes and feels like its gonna die (rpms bounce sometimes too)

I have tried a different MAF sensor.. i just got he oil changed so im gonna see if that did anything.. but many ppl said to check out my Throttle Position Sensor.

Blondie.. by the way.. where in FL are you?

could it possibly be something with the distributor cap? Maybe it's doing something to the plugs?

sounds like the EGR, take it off and clean it. I think its the EGR im thinking of, either that or the IAC. The thing that is on the back of your upper intake.

clean out the IAC it's easy and take like 5 min or less. it controls the idle and is located on the bad side of the throttle body it has to bolt's and 1 connector. that should fix it if not try replaceing the othere spark plug's and wires and replace the fuel filter if you haven't done so yet.

Yes the air intake temp sensor located near the throttle body is a possibility if it is only a problem during warm up. Or the idle air control valve could be sticking. If cleaning it out doesn't fix it try replacing it.
