first off here is my car...


its the 40th anniversary edition...stock...i haven't added anything to it...besides a stereo system...anyways i want to get work done on my car...i really want exhaust on it but HAVE NO clue what kind to get...i don't want the kind that very load and pops like trucks here in the south have i want that smooth zoom zoom sound lol....also i don't kno whether to lower my car or just get a body kit on it...i want it lower one way or the other don't kno which is cheaper...body kit? or lowering it?....anyways....can i change my dashboard lights? they r currently that traditional green color and i want neon blue because i have music lights inside my car that r neon blue....any help would be great...thanks

first off welcome to MM

here is my rant for ya

EXHAUST- since its a sixer there isnt gonna be much difference in power. most people prefer long tube headers, h pipe and either magnaflow or flowmaster mufflers. i went with divorced duals and flowmaster mufflers

STANCE - get a good set of wheels first. ive often thought about a body kit but just lowering it will give it a good look. i havent lowered mine yet but a good 1.5" - 2" drop will do just fine

DASHBOARD LIGHTS - if you are wanting blue gauges the easiest way to do it is get reverse glow inserts. i actually just put mine in a couple of days ago and they look awesome.

edit....would a scrap a lot if i lowered it about 1.5"

I'd definitely say lower it instead of a body kit. Never been a huge fan, though I can see why people like them. Just not worth it and it looks much cleaner if you just lower it and keep the body somewhat stock.

And about the exhaust, check out videos and listen to which one you think sounds the best. I, like most people, prefer the H with Magnaflows or Flowmasters.

I have the same inserts but ended up changing out the bulbs to blue LEDs. I still have the reverse glow gauge set. lol. I actually tried wiring the gauges myself and failed hard lol.

i just ran the wires down thru my dash and hooked the red wire to my low beam fuse and grounded the black wire. the instructions they sent sucked
