how to check for exhaust leaks on new setup

i can hear this flutter that tells me there is an exhaust leak somewhere on the new setup, what can i use to find it?
also, anyone know the torque specs on the header bolts? imma tighten those up to just to be sure.

if you can have a couple friends hold rags over the ends of the tail pipes while you listen for the leak , usually that will magnify the noise coming from the leak and let you find it easier .....just tell them not to hold them too long or they might get burned ....

soapy water can work too, look for bubbles at the connections.

where would you spray the soapy water? just up and down the bottom of the exhaust?

well yeah so do it while the exhaust is still cool. It shouldnt take long to find a leak if there is one. Even if it did steam, the steam would be distrupted by a leak. I thought it was pretty obvious that you dont wanna work with a hot exhaust system.

My questions is, what do you mean by flutter? What does an exhaust leak sound like. I only ask because I just got a new exhaust as well. It was done by a shop though. I have no reason to suspect a leak, im just curious.

this is so fully of wrong...
you can run your car for 5hours and still use seafoam
just use seafoam...

that bubble shit is for tires...

theres so many reason why its wrong..
it wont even bubble just so you know...its hot air and a good amount...with your mouth you will pop those b/s bubble let alone hot air and a good amount of it.

the main spots to check are where the headers meet your mid pipe, and any other spots the exhaust is bolted up or connected to..mainly gaskets..
