shocks and struts

i recently damaged the rear end of my mustang. i backed out of a driveway and went down a hill too steep, and subsequently bent the exhaust pipe and damaged the shock i think, the sounds that it makes when you go over slight bumps is terrible, im hoping that someone can tell me what this could possibly be so i can save for the repairs.

Replacement shocks are very cheap, like $30 for a set. But, I'm afraid without actually seeing the damage it'd be tough to make recommendations. You could have damaged alot of stuff, but fortunately everything is fairly inexpensive back there.

could also be the exhaust rubbing the control arm, just gotta look up under there and see what it is touching, bounce the rear of the vehicle or have a friend do it while you are under there. more than likely it is just bent exhaust tubing and maybe the exhaust hanger?

if it is just exhaust you have a few options, spring for oem replacement/takeoffs, aftermarket cat back, have your stock y pipe modified to fit gt takeoff or catback, or just cut it off after the muffler?
