Question For AB . and some side answers

Yes im sorry for posting way to many useless threads.

but i just saw AB's pictures and i saw that it is a A/T tranny . and if he can keep up with gt's etc that just gives me hope. i do understand that AB knows his car and is a awesome driver. but at the same time staring at that picture for a good 20 minutes . yeah i just think its awesome .

as much i love the v6's i have even more love for the a/t just cause they need it =] i mean while the manul needs 2hands and 2legs to drive it the a/t can hold my hand while driving =D

but someone just told me it doesnt really matter about the tranny just because some people cant shift perfectly anyways

he does have an auto...but it is tuned. A tuned automatic will have something that a manual wont have. He will have constinency. He can keep up or beat the s-197 v6, but not the GT.

it sounds like AB knows what hes talking about tho . well alot of people do . i dunno i only have one car and yeah driving around in a A/T will be easier as a daily driver . i dunno i just wanted to know if he still had a A/T and you answered it thanks

I thought he has a different transmission.. he meantioned its not a AODE

No prob. For a street machine an auto is fine. I love driving. I don't care what tranny a car has, but I do like driving a manual more...even though mine is an auto. AB does know what he is talkin about. I learned a lot from him. But hey a lot of us do know our stuff, and are more than happy to answer any of your questions.

i have a 4r70w completely rebuilt with about 8k miles on it. it is tuned for 25% firmer shifts at 7mph increase for each gear. i wish i had different gearing because i trap at about 92 at about 4750 or so rpms and i redline at 6k rpms.

and i can beat stock 5.0s and pre99 gt's, but the new edge gt's and s197's are a bit faster (from my times last year), but i also hope the drag radial shave about a tenth or so off my e/t in full trim. i want to run a 14.7 in full trim and be happy with a reliable daily driver...
