can someone tell me what a stock 96 (or 97,98) boss has under the hood... and the hp... thanks

They didn't make a boss in those years, and also if they did...that would be a v8 not a v6.

like cricket said, there was no factory boss made in those years, but it has been a popular build for some people to make a "boss 302" motor in many late model mustangs.
since each application is different, no set numbers are available.

i know the boss isnt a v6 im not that big of a dumb ass... its just i was talkin 2 a guy who said his dad had a 98 boss and i was just wondern what it had under the hood... sense i couldnt find it on the internet... but now i know the guy is full of it

like AB said it might have the "Boss 302" which in essence, along with other mods i would assume, would make it a boss.... i guess. sure he didnt say 68 or something?

yeah well I have seen 98's with boss decals but they are still the 4.6 for it to be a boss it has to have that 5.0 302.
