Brakes

How much does a set of front and rear brakes cost (rotors and pads)? Also, how long should they typically last for?

looking at autozone front rotors are about 40, rears are about 30, pads are 30 for front 20 for rear...so ur looking at about 190 before tax for all the way around...if your rotors arent too bad and are straight u can generally reuse them or take them to a shop and get them machined for like 10 or 20 each. changing brakes isnt hard its something you can do prretty quick if you take your time and dont get frustrated

I just added up the cost from AM to put Powerslot Rotors and Hawk HPS all the way around and it came out to about $515.

Is it ok to put powerslot rotors and Hawk pads up front and autozone/NAPA stuff in the back? Most of the braking is done up front anyways so it made me curious.

ask AMNick for discountcode if you dont already have it. the powerslot should be good. if you have more money to spend go with baer or brembo's

I'm 21 and in college. So i'm not makin too much money at the moment.

The set of replacements i have been getting are lasting for 2 years. How long will the stuff i mentioned above last for?

Also, that price was with the monthly specials. Idk if we can add our discount code on top of it or not?

Thanks for the help! Comes to about 485 for all that stuff all the way around.

Any thoughts of putting the good stuff up front and the cheaper stuff in the rear?

86,000 miles on the original rear brake pads and rotors. I've replaced the fronts once. Lots of highway driving!
