V6 Search. Help?

first stang- there's a good chance you'll wreck it, to be honest. nothing against you, it's just a common situation. I'd advise that you get a fox.

i didnt wreck my first 'stang! i did end up selling it to a 18yr. and a month later he wrecked it! ('97 GT vert)

Neither did I, but a lot of hs kids that go from a common car to a car with some power get themselves in trouble.

...thats a terrible misconception on your part...

I have had my car 2 years and yet to wreck it or even come ANYWHERE close. Majority of my friends with stangs havn't wrecked theirs either...

just get something newer than 1999. because of the split port motor. you do not want a single port motor. i learn from experience.

The only accident I've been in so far is when I was turning left, and some kid tried passing me...then smack, lol.

But I'm actually, what I'd hope to consider, a safe driver, despite age.

New edge for sure.

Also, look for one with some mods already done to it (it'll be cheaper than modding it yourself, however, you really wont learn anything in doing so).

the 99-04's will usually have less mileage. they do have the 40 extra horses due to the split-port intake (which can be put onto the 94-98's with the swap kit). as for the body style, its personal preference.

I disagree with that, unless its something basic such as exhaust. The more modding done to a car, the MORE likely it has been drivin hard and ragged out.

With a stock car, it "could" still be under warrenty and will be "less" likely to break.

when it comes to body style get what you think looks better, and if its slower...mod it

Agreed. I am feeling the new edge look a lot more.

I might also look for one with just a CAI mod or something minor.

the new edges are definitely a better base platform, and they do look better than the sn95s imo, but i have seen some sick looking sn95s.

I do really like the new 05 + look, but let's be realistic, price-wise. Haha.

get an 05+ !!!! they are faster and all around better. plus, if you dont like them, that means you like boys. it was proven on myth busters.

ya, same here. if i could have afforded an 05+ i would have gotten one, but i couldnt have gotten a nice one for under $7k.
