I went to inspection today and code P0411 popped up which is " Secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected"...

does anyone know what that means and what it could be?

I'm assuming this is the 00 V6.

It does not have a smog pump, which is an air pump that added extra air to the exhaust. I don't think those have been used in some time.

Perhaps you should ask a Ford service department what that code means. I'm guessing it has something to do with the EGR system.

Our cars don't have Smog Pumps? I guess that leaves EGR. I thought the Smog pump added air to the cat? When did they stop using them.

It appears that an air pump is shown for 99-04 in the Ford parts manual.

We have an early 99 and it doesn't have one and I haven't seen it mentioned in the 99 shop manual.
