4.2 swap
so from what ive heard i can use a 4.2l v6 block off a f150 and use my internals...does anyone have a ball park estimate on what it would cost for a scrapyard block and to have the parts switched

you have that backwards, the block isn't what creates that displacement. Its the internals, rods, cranks and heads, that create the displacement. ultimately, you can pull your engine out, and drop in the truck engine, of course, this would leave you with a torquey motor. Now, don't quote me on this, but some of the sensors might need to be transferred, and some other things might need to be modified, i don't believe it is a straight drop in.

Hmm...
Heads have nothing to do with the displacement of the motor... It is infact the SHORTBLOCK of the f150 which is the pistons/crank/rods/etc/etc. Yep.

i used my factory motor and did a 4.2L rotating assembley to get my 4.2L. The crank is the main factor that makes the 4.2.

I'll be dropping a 4.2l engine in my stang once this 3.8 runs till it dies, imma take very good care of it until it does decide to just conk out though.
