I need engine swap info!!!
ALright so need to know a rough estimate on how much the total cost of a engine swap from a 1994 3.8 litre to a 4.6 or 5.0. I only have the single port exaust still so that would have to be changed as well. Im not sure if the stock radiator i have now for the v6 has a high enough output to cool the new v8 so would that have to be changed too? Give me all the info you can please.

you would need exhaust regardless of if you were single port or split port.. you are missing a cylinder on each side. You would also need a read end, and a computer, and in all honestly you would spend a lot less to just sell your car and buy a GT or Cobra.
I'm not saying that because I am a GT owner.. I have had 2 6ers and 2 GT's and currently own a 6er. |

If you DO swap out to a v8, I would go with the pushrod 302 over the 4.6 modular. You can drop out the need for a computer by going carburated, but you will need to get some throttle linkages to hook that up. The pushrod 302 has alot more options for modding up for a lot less money as well.

Search is your friend... a post like this just came across last week along with the 1000posted previously
much better to swap a motor that'll be worth the work an NPI 4.6 will be the biggest waste of time EVER better to get a 5.0 for sure.

sell it and buy a 5.0 or 4.6L GT or cobra.
It would pain me to see you do a motor swap with a stock 5.0 or 4.6L and make the same power i did with bolt-ons.

you can get a use NPI 4.6 for around $350 and do a PI swap (my bro. found some PI heads for $250) and go that route. found my longtubes for $200, bought my pullies for $85, my tb/plenum for $100 you just have to look and you'll find stuff for your swap.
